Basic provisions for registration of documents for real estate
Citizens acquire real estate, including apartments, in various ways: as a result of purchase, privatization, inheritance, receipt as a gift, by court decision, etc. Any of these transactions is formalized by a corresponding document, which is the basis for the emergence of ownership of the apartment.

In accordance with Art. 1 of the Federal Law of July 13, 2015 No. 218-FZ and Art. 8.1. of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation , rights to real estate objects, as well as encumbrances of such rights (for example, a pledge or lease) are subject to mandatory state registration. Without observing this procedure, it is impossible to prove the actual existence of the right and the ownership of real estate by a specific person.
